News Release: Active Back Care

The Stationary Office (TSO) has just released a new self-help booklet “Active Back Pain.” Like the rest of the series, ‘Active Back Care’ is written by a multidisciplinary team including osteopaths, orthopaedics and ergonomic specialists, in response to the latest medical research. This latest edition gives information on suitable activities for those suffering back pain, including tips on maintaining general and aerobic fitness as well as safety tips and first-aid exercises. Other titles available include “The Back Book,” “The Neck Book,” “The Whiplash Book” and “Get Back Active.”

Some osteopaths will stock these books to sell to patients. Alternatively, these booklets are available for £3.50 (plus £1 P+P) from www.backcare.org.uk.
