This is the inaugural post in the Osteopath Network blog.
We propose to encourage a variety of different kinds of osteopaths to contribute on a regular basis to this blog to generate debate on all sorts of topics.
Issues we would like to touch on in coming months include:
- New treatment techniques: is manipulation becoming less prevalent?
- Where have all the osteopaths gone? An issue concerning the strange pattern whereby osteopaths are very unevenly distributed around the UK
- Upcoming events: what are the “must see” shows and events after the summer
In addition we will ask osteopaths to update us on the challenges they face running small practices and the issues their patients are facing.
More than anything we would like to hear motivating stories about patients who have benefited from osteopathy because, let’s face, sometime its nice to hear a good news story these days.
The content of this page is informed by feedback from osteopathic practitioners in Scotland and also a practitioner in Manchester. Further input was received from practices in Chiswick and osteopaths in the Covent Garden area. Finally a contribution was made by clinics in Nottingham.
