Cheltenham Osteopath Treats Baby Elephant

We are very proud to relate that one of our very own practitioners, Mr Tony Nevin from the Harmony Clinic, an osteopath in Cheltenham, has returned from Kenya having been involved in the first ever Osteopath workshop for elephants and rhinos. That is the first in the world!  This kind of workshop has never been performed before.

After years of experience in treating people and animals, Tony was keen to see if orphaned or abused baby elephants and rhinos would respond to treatment in the same manner as young children who have been through similar traumas.

The findings were very encouraging, just after some very gentle treatments the babies became more relaxed and therefore approachable.  Now how fantastic is that?

The content of this page is informed by feedback from osteopaths in the Scotland area and also clinics in Worcester. Further input was received from a practitioner in Luton and osteopathic practitioners in Covent Garden. Finally a contribution was made by practices in Oxford.
